Samhain: Ritual, Breath & Ceremony

What we know to be Halloween today has its roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain (10/31-11/1). Samhain (pronounced "sow-in") is considered a "liminal" festival that is a time where the normal order of the universe is suspended. It was created as a way to mark the transition between light and dark, physical and spiritual, and is a time where the veil between worlds is considered to be the thinnest.
