What Is Restorative Yoga?

Restorative yoga is a slow, therapeutic practice designed to help the body rest, the mind settle, and the nervous system reset. Using supportive props and longer-held postures, this practice encourages deep relaxation and inner stillness, inviting the body into a state where healing can naturally unfold. Whether you're navigating stress, burnout, injury, or simply seeking more balance, restorative yoga offers a nourishing space to return to yourself.

About Cat Meyer

Cat Meyer (She/Her) is a restorative yoga and meditation teacher with over a decade of experience, known for her gentle yet profound approach to healing through yoga. Specializing in restorative and gentle yoga, Cat’s classes focus on creating safe, supportive spaces where students can release tension, calm the nervous system, and connect to their inner wisdom. With extensive training in hands-on adjustments, reiki, fascia flossing, and therapeutic touch, she integrates subtle, effective techniques that encourage deep relaxation and recovery for students of all levels.

Formerly based in Brooklyn, Cat now resides in Los Angeles with her partner, John. Alongside her yoga teaching, she offers intuitive guidance and transformational conversational hypnotherapy, helping clients find clarity, alignment, and deeper connection to themselves.
