Reading Bodies: A Workshop Series for Yoga Teachers

Saturday, November 12 2pm — 5pm

with Sondra Sun

Every yoga student is unique and has different physical needs within their practice. In this 3 hour workshop, we will observe various asana (poses) and learn to read the body using live models.

Sign Up • $80

When we learn how to observe bodies from the perspectives of alignment and anatomy, we can customize our cues, make intentional hands-on adjustments and adjust sequences as needed based on what we see.

What can the body tell us energetically about the student and their practice? As yoga teachers, how can we use that info to differentiate our cues, offer intentional hands-on adjustments, and help a student invite in more sukha or ease? What modifications can we offer to facilitate this?

This workshop will include

  • Group practice
  • Group workshopping of various poses with live models
  • How to use props to support more ease in an individual's practice
  • Q+A

While not required to be a yoga teacher, this workshop is geared towards yoga teachers who have taken a 200hr training or have some basic anatomical knowledge. Inquire if you're not sure if this is you!

(Each session limited to 10 participants.)
