Sign Up • $40Are you interested in trying yoga but feel intimidated by group classes, or have you been practicing yoga for a while and crave more in-depth instruction? Join this small-group, 2 hour workshop geared towards beginners where we’ll break down the basic postures and sequences that are common to most public yoga classes. This will be a supportive and relaxed setting where you’ll be able to ask questions and receive more individualized attention.
Jenessia and Lydia will introduce you to the practice of yoga and help build a foundation for feeling more confident in a group class or in your own practice.
We will cover
- Brief background on the origins of yoga
- Simple breathing exercises
- Step-by-step breakdown of basic postures, focusing on proper and safe alignment
- How to use props effectively and ways to modify poses for all bodies
There will be time throughout the workshop to ask questions and receive one-on-one attention.
Please note: While appropriate for those who have never done yoga before, this is not a therapeutic class and participants should be in good general health. Please contact the studio if you are unsure as to whether this class is appropriate for you.
